With the city centre just a few minutes away by rail, Train Lodge Amsterdam is the perfect base from which to explore the iconic Dutch capital.

Just a few years ago, the sleeper carriages formed part of the Zürich-Rome night train. They’ve since been converted into unique lodge-style accommodation for singles, couples, and groups, in a versatile mix of communal and private compartments.

(What do we mean by versatile? Large groups can book a dedicated compartment for up to 33 people, and there’s a ‘ladies only’ six-sleeper that’s ideal for solo female travellers).

Whichever option you choose, you’ll find your compartment cosily styled and furnished with the original fixtures and fittings, for an authentic on-train experience without any sudden bumps, or glorious scenery rushing by in a flash!

Breakfast is available on board, and there are shared shower facilities close by for freshening up. And since you’re perfectly positioned by Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station, exploring the city will be a breeze, whether you hop on a tram, stick to the train, or make like the locals and rent a bike!

Many other iconic Dutch cities are in ridiculously easy reach, too, including Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Den Haag, for a break that’s sure to be full of exciting and memorable adventures.
