Wander into the communal gardens, where you’ll find comfy seating and children’s play equipment, or straight onto the beach, where you can stretch out your towel and get lost in a good book.

Don’t fancy cooking your own dinner? No problem, since Folkestone’s renowned Rocksalt restaurant is a ridiculously short stroll away! Treat yourselves to a round of freshly-mixed cocktails and fresh, seasonal Kentish seafood… you deserve it.

Folkestone itself is located at the foot of the North Downs, with some magnificent countryside walks to be taken – so if you dream of a holiday that combines coast-and-country, this is it.

If you’ve brought your walking boots (and/or your energetic dog!) take the North Downs Way, which ends at Dover, or the Saxon Shore Way to step back in time, tracing the Kent coast as it was in Roman times.

Of course, there are plenty of places of interest to visit nearby, from the Kent Battle of Britain Museum to shopping-and-coffee-stopping on the iconic Harbour Arm, to keep you nicely occupied until it’s time for sunset-watching back at your luxury retreat.
