You’ll find The Treehouses at Lanrick in a fairytale setting; amongst private woodland on the banks of the shimmering River Teith, with the Trossachs National Park a mere five-minute drive away.
Designer-owners Simon and Louisa felt so passionate about sharing this beautiful, unspoilt area of Perthshire (in which Simon was lucky enough to grow up) that they set about creating the enchanting treehouses themselves – whilst ensuring that their carbon footprint was kept to a minimum.
The result is five uniquely designed havens, carefully crafted from home-grown timber. Rich in intricate detail, each individually named treehouse boasts its own brand of charm and character, with upcycled furniture and luxury fabrics complemented by air-source heating and wood burning stoves.
Not to mention a scenery-showcasing tree top terrace, and an indulgent outdoor bath!
Each treehouse sleeps two adults in a gorgeously downy superking bed, and you’ll also discover a double sofa bed that makes an ideal slumber spot for two children.
If you’re looking for a little extra space, no problem. Two of the treehouses (the exquisitely named Flycatcher and Willow Warbler) are connected by a dreamy rope bridge, and can be booked together if you’re travelling in a slightly larger group.
Surrounded by whispering beech trees, you can enjoy soothing parkland views as the morning sunlight drenches your treetop deck… an ideal spot for that first coffee of the day!

More information
As for the rest of the treehouse tribe, we recommend soft-toned Nuthatch for romantic couples, quirky Treecreeper for lovers of unique interior design (and views of the local woodpeckers), and Scandi-styled, step-free Pipit for true sophisticates!
All the facilities you’d expect from a five-star suite are included too, with a stylish kitchen area – gainfully equipped with a tasty welcome pack from the local farm shop – and a piping hot indoor shower.
(Though we’ve got a hunch that you’ll find bathing outdoors so addictive, that you won’t want to lather up inside again).
With every need so well catered-for, and tasty meals available to order if you don’t feel like cooking, why would you want to leave the cosy comfort of your tree-treat?
Well, the good news is that you won’t have to! Simply while away your time spotting the local wildlife from your deck, or get lost in the pages of a good book. Yet if you do feel like exploring, there’s a variety of riverside and woodland walks to discover, peppered with beautiful picnic spots.
Recently added is a gorgeous woodland sauna, surrounded by trees and the perfect spot to relax in nature, and included free of charge for all treehouse guests. Fancy taking the indulgence up another notch? Swedish Massage is also available, so why not treat yourself – you deserve it!
Fishing is available on site too… oh, and the aforementioned Trossachs National Park, filled with fresh-air adventure, may just be worth a visit. There are plenty of mouthwatering eateries in easy reach, too.
To make your day complete, all you’ve got to do is fire up the barbecue for a sizzling sunset supper, before taking a stargazing dip in that amazing outdoor bath. Add a bottle of bubbles, and you’re all set.
