A stay at The Tower conjures a magical feeling of stepping into the pages of a modern fairytale.

First, the restored water-tower is set on the outskirts of Bolsover, a Derbyshire town that dates back to the Domesday Book and which features an exquisite hilltop castle. Second, you’ll be surrounded by lush countryside, with the legendary Sherwood Forest in easy reach.

The Tower itself is chic, enchanting, and impeccably styled with plenty of colour and comfort. You’ll even find it right next to the owner’s Grand Designs-featured property, The Works, for an extra helping of uniqueness.

Inside awaits a striking mix of Art Deco window surrounds, original doors, and raw pared-down interiors that pay homage to the tower’s origins. Vibrant art and well-chosen accessories complete the picture, evoking a laid-back atmosphere that also just happens to look great on Instagram!

The sleek kitchen features playful neons and all the equipment you’ll need to whip up hearty suppers, as natural light floods in from the gleaming glass ceiling. There’s a handy pull-out table to enjoy your meals at – perhaps washed down with a glass or two of wine! – before snuggling up on the L-shaped sofa.

Simply light the woodburning stove for a cosy evening warmed by a soft, romantic glow. For effortless entertainment switch on the TV, or get lost in deep conversation you just never find the time for at home.

Time to say goodbye to the day? Head up the spiral staircase to discover a downy kingsize bed, all ready and waiting to lull you into a sound night’s sleep. If you’re an avid reader there’s a hanging egg chair, too… ideal for curling up with a good book.
