Just 20 minutes from the sweeping Norfolk coast, The Red Cabin at Blickling occupies a spectacular position on a working arable farm, within a historic National Trust estate. The extra-special location was carefully chosen by owners Steve and Tally, to help guests relax, breathe easy, and get wonderfully lost in nature.

Here, you’ll gaze out across wide open fields that teem with birdlife, where the ever-changing skies are infinite, and where intriguing parkland trails and idyllic picnic spots lie just outside the door. As if that wasn’t quite enough, the estate’s traditional 17th century pub is just a short stroll away.

Your off-grid, design-led Red Cabin is completely private, for a blissful sense of leaving stressful everyday life far behind. You’ll even get to unwind in your very own wellness spa, which includes a wood-fired sauna, and a combined hot tub/cold plunge pool out on the deck.

The sustainably-crafted, dog-friendly cabin sleeps up to four guests, in a cosy, calming, and instantly welcoming Scandi-style space that’s designed to complement these beautiful natural surroundings. The kingsize bed features breathable bedding and a deep, hotel-quality mattress for sound nights of slumber, with a small single and an extra bed available on request.

Curl up together in the comfy, cushion-festooned living space, where you’ll find a wood-burner with a shelf… for cooking the best pizza you’ve ever tasted! There’s also a well-equipped kitchen, with a Moka pot and cafetière to help charge your mornings, and a firepit grill for sizzling sunset suppers devoured in the open air.

Entertainment-wise, there’s a Bluetooth speaker to help set the perfect mood, while a thoughtful selection of books, games, and art supplies mean you can indulge your creative and competitive spirits with effortless ease. In fact, with so much to see, do, and explore both in the cabin and on the estate itself, you may choose not to stray too far away.

Mornings can be as invigorating or as gentle as you like, with those idyllic parkland trails and ancient woodland waiting to be discovered – by foot or on two wheels – and yoga equipment on hand to help you ease into the unfolding day. There’s a shower room to freshen up in when you’re all done, with toiletries and towels supplied.

What the guests of The Red Cabin Blickling say

“We arrived absolutely exhausted and left feeling lighter, calmer, and completely reset. The cabin wrapped around us like a warm hug – the soft lighting, the stillness, the gentle sound of the woods outside. We spent hours in the sauna looking out at the trees and finished each evening sitting under the stars in total silence. It felt like time slowed down just for us. The perfect escape. Thank you so much – we’ll be back.”

“What an unforgettable stay. We came for a mini-break and ended up reconnecting in a way we didn’t even realise we needed. Slow mornings with coffee, afternoons wandering through the estate, and long evenings talking, laughing and listening to the rain on the roof. The sauna was amazing (such a luxurious treat) and the view from it at night was magical. This place is something special.”

“We booked this as a birthday surprise and couldn’t have wished for a more perfect place. The cabin feels beautifully considered, cosy yet spacious, with so many thoughtful touches. We cooked, we read, we played games, and we spent half the weekend looking up at the clearest sky we’ve ever seen. Completely restorative. Thank you for creating this sanctuary.”
