You’ll find a kingsize bedroom on the ground floor too, together with a large, indulgent bathroom.
Head upstairs to be greeted by a snug seating area, and an open plan, Scandi-style master bedroom, which features stargazing skylights, an en-suite dressing room, and access to the aforementioned top balcony – the ultimate spot to watch the world go by.
Gather everyone for summer evening drinks on the raised, furnished deck area, or simply relax in the open garden instead…the choice is yours!
If you’re heading out, a 15-minute ramble will take you to Southwold Pier in one direction, or you can head for the town and browse through its many independent shops and restaurants in the other. Wildlife lovers will revel in a visit to The Denes Beach, home of skylarks and little terns, along with seawater pools filled with sea holly.
Meander back to The Perch by evening – you’ll marvel at how close all those attractions were, yet how blissfully remote you feel once you’re back! – and enjoy good conversation over a chilled glass of wine, as the sun sinks over the golden marshes.
With your souls soothed, and your senses fully relaxed and restored, you’re sure to book a return visit just as soon as you’re able to.
