Boasting vibrant sea views in just about every direction, The Old Signal House is the perfect retreat from which to savour the comings and goings of the ocean.

Magnificently nestled on Cornwall’s Penlee Point, the tranquil building was originally constructed as a home for staff and families who once manned the Eddystone Lighthouse.  These days, it’s a stunning, gently nostalgic retreat for up to six guests and their two well-behaved dogs.

Making the absolute most of those views, you’ll find the open plan living area upstairs, complete with a multi-fuel burner to help cosy evenings along. There’s also a charming Shaker-style kitchen and dining area to enjoy hearty seafaring feasts.

Take a windswept coastal walk if you must, but you could decide that unwinding on your terrace, watching the sun sink over the sea as you indulge in good conversation and good wine, is an ideal way to spend your holiday time.
