The Old Livery is peacefully secluded on a private estate close to the historic Oxfordshire town of Burford, which is otherwise known as the Gateway to the Cotswolds.
Perfect for a romantic escape, the elegant, adults-only retreat is achingly close to the rolling hills and honey-hued cottages that characterise this mesmerising part of the world. Burford’s famed High Street, home to a grand medieval bridge and England’s oldest pharmacy, is also in easy reach.
The Old Livery itself has been painstakingly restored to an impressively high standard, with minimalist, soft-toned décor throughout. Indulgent facilities include underfloor heating and a large shower cubicle, for a touch of well-deserved holiday luxury.
Indeed, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into the pages of a high-end interior design magazine as you explore your new surroundings; furnished by the likes of deVOL, Neptune, and Tom Raffield.
Accommodation is generously spaced across one level, comprising three spacious and light-filled rooms. There’s a bedroom with a supremely comfortable superking bed and room-darkening blinds, an opulent shower room, and a relaxing, open-plan living space with a dining area positioned right by a window, for mealtimes-with-a-view.
The exquisitely-crafted Shaker-style kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need, including a coffee-maker to charge lazy mornings spent on the furnished patio, against a blissful soundtrack of birdsong.
You’ll find the living space furnished with a cosy sofa and a TV for snuggly evenings in with a bottle of wine (of course, wine glasses are supplied too!), and there’s a ready supply of books to get lost in when those cherished idle moments strike.

“We had a great NYE stay at the livery! Excellent specification and furnishings. Nice and quiet location and lots to do in the surrounding areas. The host Skip was very accommodating and was able to give us a fabulous restaurant recommendation for NYE! We will definitely be returning.”
“The cottage was spotless and felt very new while being beautifully designed, with lovely touches. A 5 minute drive from Burford and near everywhere else you’d want to visit. Skip was a fantastic host with a plethora of recommendations and advice.”
“Fantastic location, only a short drive to Burford, with a great selection of local pubs close by. The barn was beautiful, clean and the design and layout were amazing with high quality furniture! The bed was the most comfiest bed I think I’ve slept in. Skip provided lots of information prior to the stay and a local guide which was really helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.”
