Boasting magnificent Ceredigion countryside views, you’ll discover The Kites Nest in the charming village of Pont-rhyd-y-groes (“the bridge of the ford of the cross” in English).

The sumptuous National Trust Hafod Estate is practically on the doorstep: rich in deep gorges, sparkling waterfalls, and magical woodland trails.  Yet once you’ve settled into your holiday nest, you may not feel like leaving!

A welcoming, wooden-crafted haven for two adults (one well-behaved dog is also welcome to stay), the curved roof and circular windows evoke an enchanting storybook feel inside, while the elevated decking is perfect for sunset-watching.

But that’s not all!  Delightfully tucked away in a hidden, private garden is a gleaming copper bathtub-for-two… ideal for stargazing with a glass of bubbles.

Back inside, there’s a projector and pull-down screen for epic movie nights in, and you’ll find the kitchen space gainfully equipped for romantic suppers and indulgent snacks.  There’s a downy double bed for dreaming and snoozing, while the shower room is perfect for indulgent freshen-ups.

If you can tear yourselves away, there are friendly pubs and shops waiting in the nearby villages, with bustling Aberystwyth a short drive away.  Oh, and Plynlimon – the highest mountain in mid-Wales –  is also close by, perfect for those in the mood for a challenge before bedtime!
