The Houseboat Liverpool Marina is moored in the tranquil heart of Coburg Dock, a mere 10-minute stroll from the thriving city centre. Yet once you’ve stepped aboard, you may find it hard to take any shore leave at all.
Sleeping up to eight guests, this is an impeccably stylish vessel – indeed, you’ll be greeted by an exterior black-and-white mural of James Bond as you arrive! – that showcases serene water views from every room.
The heart of the houseboat is its light-filled, open-plan lounge. Adorned with well-chosen art and colour, the double-height ceiling also affords plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind… perhaps over cocktails shaken not stirred. Floor-to-ceiling windows mean captivating scenery is a given, while doors lead to a private patio deck: ideal for lazing on sun-dappled afternoons.
Just upstairs awaits a larger deck that’s the perfect spot for swish celebrations, entertaining guests, or simply watching boats glide gently along the water.
Meanwhile, full self-contained facilities include a gleaming, well-equipped kitchen for whipping up seafaring feasts, and not one but two bathrooms. Bedroom-wise, you’ll have three to choose from: a kingsize, a queensize, and a cosy twin. There’s also a comfy double sofa bed in the living area, for those who like to stay up a little later!
After a lazy lie-in, savour coffee out on deck – one of the bedrooms boasts direct access – and watch the marina slowly coming to life. How to spend the rest of the unfolding day is completely up to you.
