Ever fancied having an entire field all to yourselves?
Secluded on a sweet-scented flower farm in the West Sussex village of Ashington, in the charming foothills of the South Downs National Park no less, the Hazel Hide occupies a seven-acre field…
…and as the only cabin in that field, you’ll have the entire space to explore – ideal if you’ve got energetic kids and dogs in tow!
You may feel hard-pressed to leave Hazel Hide once you’ve settled in, however. Architect-designed and boasting picture-perfect countryside views, you can relax, unwind, and reconnect with your loved ones in the cosiest of comfort.
You’ll also be keeping your holiday carbon footprint refreshingly light, since the cabin is cleverly powered entirely by the sun, whose cheerful rays flood the open, high-ceilinged living space.
There’s a wood-burning stove to warm your evenings… that is, when you’re not savouring sunset views out on the generous field-facing deck (or indeed, lazing in the hammock!) On sunny days, you can welcome the outside in simply by pushing back the huge bi-fold doors.
Whip up meals and snacks galore in the small-yet-perfectly-formed copper kitchen, which is home to a gas-powered hob and oven. You’ll also have a fridge and all the essential cooking equipment you could want.

What the guests of The Hazel Hide say
“Beautiful place, clean, homely and all thought out to the tiniest detail, would love to stay here again, excellent, excellent, excellent. Thank you.”
“First stay at Hazel Hide, and we’ll certainly be back again. The cosy cabin is tucked away in a beautiful corner of the countryside, and has clearly been carefully thought through. It has everything you need for a couple of days away including a number of thoughtful touches. Very good local recommendations laid out in a handy guide; we opted for a walk to the white lion pub (an hour away on foot with food that’s well worth the effort). Perfect getaway for families that include dogs!”
