You’ll discover The Forager’s Cabin beautifully nestled between Snowdonia and the Shropshire Hills, amongst 10 acres of private, semi-ancient Powys woodland that’s the perfect introduction to wild Welsh nature.
Surrounded by nothing but whispering mature trees and abundant native wildlife, it’s no wonder The Times described the cabin as “the perfect retreat from reality”. Add indulgent comforts that include a wood-fired hot tub, a blissful woodland sauna, and a snuggly superking bed, and your romantic scene is beautifully set.
Lovingly handcrafted from reclaimed materials, the cabin itself is bespoke-designed for slow, luxurious living in nature’s bounty. Natural, earthy hues and butter-soft fabrics are instantly relaxing, while well-chosen pieces of nature-inspired art add beauty and interest.
There’s plenty of scope to live the life al fresco, too, with not one but two glorious decks to while away your holiday time on. One features a dining area, with a barbecue and comfy wooden chairs to chat from, while the other is tucked away in the trees… perfect for a hot-tub soak by melting golden sunset.
If you’re really in the mood for a treat, extras include a pre-warmed hot tub, lit by candles and accompanied by award-winning fizz and chocolates. But for the ultimate in relaxation, you can pair your pre-warmed dip with a session in the scenic, sanctuary-like woodland sauna… complete with indulgent waffle robes and eucalyptus aromatherapy (there is also the option to heat the sauna yourself, if you prefer).
Don’t feel like venturing out? Surrounded by such abundant natural luxury, we wouldn’t blame you. Simply light the wood-burning stove and unwind by the quirky round window, watching nature unfold as you reconnect with the one you love in cosy comfort.
You could pre-order mouth-watering treats that include an artisanal Welsh cheeseboard and afternoon tea, or rustle up a delicious supper in the modern, well-equipped kitchen, before tumbling into that downy superking bed (there’s a second queensize room too, making the cabin particularly perfect for two adults, a baby, and a child).

What the guests of The Forager’s Cabin say
“WOW! Loved our stay at Forager’s Cabin. The set up inside is beautiful and perfect for the ultimate relaxing break. The hot tub is so lovely and we adored waking up and looking out over the forest. G&T point is also an absolute treat! Sophia and Pete have created a wonderful sanctuary for some R&R. We would recommend staying here to everyone and cannot wait to return!”
“The cabin was absolutely stunning. It was better than the pictures (which were incredible already!). The bed was comfortable, the shower amazing, and the welshcakes a perfect touch to welcome us. Two nights was not long enough!”
“A wonderful 50th Birthday for my husband! We enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you Sophia for organising our afternoon tea on arrival, steaks (absolutely delicious!) for our dinner, the totally scrummy cheeseboard which we enjoyed with a glass of wine watching the sunset at G&T Point. This is a little slice of heaven and a perfect timeout. Thank you!”
