Privately nestled in the Shropshire Hills, a stay at The Black Rhadley Retreat feels like carving out a beautiful slice of the world, just for you.

Boasting incredible views of enormous starry skies and heather-dotted landscapes, the locally-crafted cabin (named after one of the surrounding hills) is secluded amongst whispering pine trees and surrounded by woodland trails that are just begging to be taken… perhaps accompanied by a tasty picnic.

Yet once you’ve settled into this sumptuous, digital-free hideaway, you’ll no doubt find it difficult to leave. Purposefully designed and furnished to emulate the natural world, the cabin’s pared-down, Scandi-style interiors promise to relax you instantly.

Why not lounge on the cushion-festooned sofa awhile, gazing out of the enormous wildlife-showcasing window or getting lost in that book you never seem to find time for at home?

(If you forgot to pack it, don’t worry! The owners have seen to it that you’ll be kept fully entertained, with a selection of books, games, maps, wildlife-guides, and even binoculars provided for your stay).

Meanwhile, you’ll find the kitchen gainfully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare delicious meals and snacks. The sleek Opal coffee machine is the perfect way to charge your mornings, after a spot of energising yoga out on the spacious deck.

There’s an indulgent, nature-inspired bathroom – complete with a rainfall shower, organic toiletries, and super-soft towels – to freshen up in. Though if you’d prefer a warm soak under the stars, no problem. Simply take a blissful, wood-fired dip against a backdrop of Shropshire’s rocky tors and rolling valleys.
