There are plenty of watersports schools dotted around the island if you’re a beginner, while if you’d rather keep your feet above water, you can always take a boat trip to explore the abundant wildlife, instead.

Meanwhile, confirmed landlubbers might enjoy a round of golf, or perhaps a walk, cycle, or horse-ride around the Hayling Billy Trail, a five-mile, off-road route that showcases magnificent views of Langstone Harbour.

Or how about a trip with the kids on the Hayling Seaside Steam Railway… which leads straight to Funland Amusement Park?

What the guests of The Beach House, Hayling Island say

“We stayed at the Beach House in Hayling Island and were very impressed with the property. Sleeps 11 with 5 bedrooms and dog friendly, it suited us as a large family to unwind in beautiful surroundings. The upstairs to the property is very generous in size, allowing plenty of room to dine, cook, lounge and have fun. The upper balcony overlooks the sea and offers beautiful views day and night. The house comes with every amenity one could wish for and the owner was kind enough to fast-track some fans to us when the weather became hot! Simple touches, such as built in music speakers in the ceiling, tv options for the children and modern furnishings made for a very pleasant stay. Check-in was easy, with a hassle-free app to access the property and the owner stayed in touch and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Would definitely go back again. We miss spending our evenings on the upper deck, overlooking the ocean and star-gazing. Special thanks to Katie for being brilliant and making the whole process super smooth.”

“We stayed at Hayling House at the start of July. The house is beautifully put together with amazing views and a great location with the beach on your doorstep. We very much enjoyed our stay and it is a great spot for day trips to West Wittering, Chichester and Isle of Wight as well.
A great house to stay in. Everything you needed. The beach house at Hayling Island is beautiful and great views. Would definitely go there again.”
