Sleeping up to six lucky guests, Tangle Tower is secluded right on the shore of the magnificent Moray Firth. Its tranquil setting is achingly close to Inverness, the unofficial capital of the Scottish Highlands, yet there’s a blissful feeling of being miles from anywhere.
A former Victorian watchtower, the sweeping views are truly incredible here. They include the awe-inspiring bridge and rolling hills as well as the glistening water… in which there’s an excellent chance of spotting dolphins and seals.
Choose from not one but two lounges: one at ground level and another on the second floor, where you’ll also find a double sofa bed for those who just can’t tear their eyes away from that wonderful scenery! The first floor is home to a cosy double bedroom, while back on ground level is a well-equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom, with a separate bath and shower. There is a sofa bed for two extra guests.
On balmy summer days, spend some downtime in the large sea-view garden, or head to Inverness for shopping, history, and culture. Loch Ness is a mere 10 miles away – see if you can spot that famous monster! – or drive a little longer to spend a day at the captivating, dune-fringed Nairn Beach, once described as the “Brighton of Scotland”.
