Tāima PurePod
- Sleeps: 2
- Bedroom: 1
- Bathroom: 1
- Minimum stay: 1 night
Elevated 350 metres above sea level, a stay at Tāima PurePod feels almost as though you’re relaxing amongst the clouds.
Secluded in the Central Otago town of Cromwell, the glass eco-cabin offers mesmerising sunset views of the soaring golden mountains and the craggy Kawarau Gorge, as well as easy access to the winding, historic Lake Dunstan Trail… ideal if you’re a keen cyclist.
You’ll approach your private PurePod at the end of a 300-metre nature walk; one that harks back to the days when the town thrived with gold-miners.
Once you’ve settled in, you’ll note the many opulent facilities at your disposal: an indulgent shower, crisp bedlinen, sleek cooking equipment… and of course, a telescope for stargazing in that incredible dark sky. On a clear night, you could even spot the five stars that form the iconic Southern Cross.
If you’ve pre-ordered a meal package, relax and savour fresh, locally-produced fare from the luxury camp chairs out on your deck… and when you wake up, a delicious breakfast from your scenery-showcasing bed!
You’ll find plenty of ways to spend your days in this beautiful part of the world, from visiting award-winning restaurants and wineries, to embarking on the Clutha River Heritage Cruise.
However, if all you feel like doing is switching off with your loved one, don’t feel guilty. There’s no better, or more beautiful, place to do just that.
