  • Sleeps: 6
  • Bedrooms: Open plan
  • Bathrooms: Communal
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Warm, welcoming and family-run, you’ll find Church View Campsite nestled on the outskirts of Barrow, an ancient Suffolk village with chocolate-box rural views.

A dog-friendly site with camping pitches and a café-bar, it’s the perfect place to relax, play games together, and make new friends. You’ll also have the option of hopping aboard Sunflower Sally Glamping Bus, for a joy-filled break that’s rich in home comforts.

Painted in bright yellow and green, vibrant sunflower motifs adorn the bus’s exterior, to make your spirits rise even before you’ve boarded. When you do, you’ll be greeted by a colourful, cosily-furnished space that feels instantly relaxing – with the driver’s cab and steering wheel intact!

Sleeping up to six guests, Sunflower Sally is perfect for whole-family holidays – one well-behaved dog included – with a kingsize bed and two singles on the top deck, and a comfy wide sofa sleeping a further two. Mattresses are provided for the beds, so just bring your own linen and bedding for snug nights of slumber.

There are plenty of on-board conveniences too, in the form of a well-equipped kitchen/diner and a 33-inch TV to unwind around by evening. You’ll also find handy reading lamps in the bedrooms, so there’s no excuse not to open that book you just never seem to find time for at home!

Prefer dining al fresco? No problem. There’s a picnic bench in your fenced garden, with a large awning that means you can enjoy the Great Outdoors even if it rains. For an extra treat, why not light the firepit provided and indulge in storytelling and marshmallow-toasting under the stars? All you need to do is bring the logs, or buy some on-site.

You could also head to the on-site café-bar, open from May to mid-September, and indulge in everything from all-day breakfast baps to shakes and loaded fries. Or grab a freshly-cooked takeaway pizza if you don’t feel like dining in. There are plenty of local pubs – and a chippy! – in the village, too, all within walking distance.

What the guests of Sunflower Sally Glamping Bus say

“We had a wonderful relaxing stay. We could only do 2 nights this time but will definitely be going back for a longer stay. It’s one of the most welcoming sites we’ve stayed. The toilets and showers are very basic but always clean. The little cafe was a delight and very child friendly, as was the site with chickens running around and guinea pigs and rabbits to feed. There’s some lovely walks to do and activities on site if that’s your thing, but we just wanted to have a very relaxed weekend with friends and grandkids and that’s exactly what we did. Can’t fault the site at all.”

“My favourite campsite! This place is excellent, it has something for everyone! The owners are so friendly and accommodating and clearly work very hard to keep the place looking smart and clean. Everyone associated with this campsite is really friendly and professional and always seem happy to go the extra mile to ensure you have a great time. Site is quiet, no train lines or flight paths nearby, facilities are good, hot, powerful showers, plenty of toilets and showers, pitches are big, play area and small animals perfect for young children, football field/ table tennis for older kids. Can’t recommend this place enough! Also went to both local pubs, escape rooms, mini golf and assault course and all of these activities were well run and worth every penny too! This is our second time staying here, this year we were a fairly big group and made use of the pod too which is really cosy and great for glamping!”

“It is a beautifully arranged site. The shower facilities which there were plenty of were immaculate. They can’t do enough to help you. Really lovely campsite which I can’t wait to return to. A massive thank you.”
