“This tube-shaped home in Europe is the coolest yet,” is how Business Insider magazine describes Slube, a tiny home hotel in the baroque north German town of Neustrelitz, in the Mecklenburgh Lake District.

Each minimalist, cylinder-shaped retreat is a work of art, sleeping up to two guests in one of three options: a Basic one-storey Slube, a two-storey Home, or a Tower, which also boasts a rooftop terrace. Self-contained facilities include a lounge area with a small kitchenette, a bathroom, and a cosy loft bedroom accessed by a ladder.

High-tech features include self-check-in (ideal for travellers on the go), with lighting and room temperature control, all from your phone. Not only will there be no need to carry a clunky room key around, but you can set the perfect ambiance without having to leave the comfort of your bed!

Ingenious space-saving elements mean you’ll have plenty of room to unpack and stretch out in comfort (indeed, Business Insider added that the bathroom – complete with a full-size shower – was “the smartest small bathroom design I’ve ever seen”).

Oh, and while plenty of natural light floods in through large windows, clever film covering means no-one will be able to see inside!
