Slate Cabin – Caban Llechi

An idyllic, award-winning hideaway for two, secluded on a working farm with panoramic views over the Dyfi Valley, out towards the soaring Snowdonia mountains.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Purposely positioned on a peaceful working farm, Slate Cabin showcases the Welsh landscape at its most incredible.

An award-winning hideaway featured on the Netflix documentary ‘Cabins in the Wild’, the adults-only retreat looks out over the lush Dyfi Valley, leading your gaze towards the Snowdonia mountains, including Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy.

Perfect for a romantic couple in need of a serene escape, you can feast your eyes on those soul-soothing views from wherever you happen to be… enjoying a lazy cuppa in bed, cradling a glass of wine at the window seat, or toasting marshmallows on the firepit.

Inspired by the celebrated Welsh slate industry, the cabin is stylish yet simple, with a clever, compact design that makes the most of available space. There’s a pull-up table that’s perfect for two, while the downy kingsize bed elevates and transforms into a sumptuous sofa at the mere touch of a button.

Flooded with natural light by day, there’s a pot-bellied wood-burning stove to give your evenings a warm glow. Curl up with a book in front of the long window, get lost in conversation from the comfy ‘butterfly’ chairs, or unwind in front of the Smart TV… your choice!

Oh, and in case you were wondering about facilities, there’s a well-equipped kitchenette for romantic suppers (you’ll be welcomed with tea, coffee, and a selection of tasty Welsh delicacies, too), and a luxurious rainfall shower to help invigorate your mornings.

If you can get up early enough, brew some coffee and sit out on the elevated patio for the most beautiful sunrise you’re ever likely to see… a wonderful way to begin a new day in this glorious part of the world.

“Amazing little cabin with incredible views!!! Lovely and accommodating hosts, would definitely come back and highly recommend to anybody looking for a hideaway get away.”

“We really enjoyed our time at Caban Llechi (Slate Cabin) the location and views from the caban window and wrap around deck were amazing. It is furnished to a very high standard, was comfortable and packs all the essentials into its small but perfectly formed space. Our hosts had provided a lovely welcome pack and came over in person to make sure we were settled and gave us useful local knowledge on activities to do and where to eat etc. The caban was very cosy with the log burner, lots of extra fuel was provided. If you’re looking to get away from it all, see stunning scenery, view stars in a very dark sky then I’d highly recommend Caban Llechi and will be visiting again soon.”
