If you’re feeling tired of traditional holidays surrounded by four walls, why not try a stay in the UK’s first tree tent – proudly featured on George Clarke’s ‘Amazing Spaces’ – for a break that’s truly out of the ordinary?
This skillfully designed, comfortable and exciting tent sleeps two people, making a wonderfully romantic love nest for couples looking for a unique glamping experience with a sense of adventure built right in.
Access your lightweight and spherical tent, nestled cosily in the trees within 80 acres of beautiful woodland, via a private bridge over a quietly babbling stream. This is a holiday arrival that’s quite unlike any other!
Inside your tent, you’ll discover a comfy double bed that folds cleverly away into a sofa by day, softly dimmable lighting, a wood burning stove with a supply of logs, and even a small desk, for glamping at its finest and most relaxing. You’ll soon find a dreamy night’s sleep is assured, with lambs’ wool insulation cleverly woven into the tent’s lining.
Outside, you’ll be able to prepare tasty meals on a gas camping stove, and the nearby timber-clad facilities deck houses a sink with running water, along with a shower cubicle and WC. The fire pit is the perfect place to snuggle up and toast marshmallows later on, under a sparkling blanket of stars!
Whether you want to stay on site, or you’re in the mood to venture further afield by day, you couldn’t be in a better place to explore the countryside. It doesn’t matter if you prefer two feet or two wheels – simply pack up a picnic and head across the endless-seeming moorland, with a stunning backdrop of mountains and hills to capture your eye and guide you along the way.
If you’re in need of a break from all that walking, The Red Lion in Llanafan Fawr is reputedly the oldest pub in Powys, and the perfect local pit stop for recharging those batteries whilst telling tales of the country. For a longer day out, a coastal drive through the peaks to Aberystwyth is heartily recommended. You’re also within short driving distance of the breathtaking Brecon Beacons.
