Bespoke-constructed around shimmering lakes and whispering trees, amongst magical rhododendron woodlands in the Lincolnshire Wolds, Pheasant’s Roost is a wonderfully luxurious treetop hideaway for two.
The elegant retreat faces north, meaning you’ll catch many a glimpse of the sun as it makes its way across the sky. With an opulent al fresco bathtub ready and waiting for you on the decking, all you have to do is add a bottle of bubbles for a hazy golden-toned evening to remember!
Inside awaits a picture-perfect, light-drenched setting that compels romantic relaxation. The sumptuous lounge features two huge picture windows and glass patio doors, so no matter what mood the weather happens to be in, you can savour those magnificent lake views all day long.
Chat with your loved one from the comfortable Chesterfield armchairs, surrounded by rich greens and blues that reflect the pheasant’s glorious plumage. Simply light the wood-burning stove to feel ridiculously cosy in the evenings.
When it’s time to rustle up a romantic supper, the woodland-and-lake-view kitchen is ready, willing, and able. Boasting hand-crafted oak shelves and worktops – not to mention an electric oven, a microwave, and a two-ring electric hob – cooking becomes a soul-soothing indulgence.
The Scandi-inspired bedroom will help you say goodbye to the day in spectacular style, with its downy handmade kingsize bed and ambient lighting. And whether you’re winding down or freshening up, the en-suite bathroom features a large walk-in drencher shower that will do the job nicely.
Linger over morning coffee and conversation on the decking, as you admire the rhododendrons that reach all the way up to the balustrade, listening to the gentle sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves.

More information
If you’re feeling particularly starry-eyed, why not take your rowing boat (yes, your rowing boat!) across the lake, reciting classic poetry as you go?
You’ve also got the option of heading into the outrageously pretty village of Woodhall Spa, just two miles away. Take the car, or lace up your walking boots and go for a stroll along the Viking Way, making your way through a beautiful golf course.
However you decide to spend the rest of your downtime in this glorious part of the world, we’re willing to bet that the best time of the day will be the early evening.
After a long and luxurious sunset soak in your outdoor tub, simply light your al fresco firepit, pour another glass of wine, and wait for the twinkling stars to appear… for a healthy dose of unashamed, unadulterated holiday bliss.
