Looking for something a little different, yet undeniably special? Palm Springs Dome House is exactly that; a stunningly expansive, light-filled home that affords sweeping desert and valley views (views we promise you won’t be able to tear your gaze from).

Originally built in 1956, the formerly abandoned Coachella Valley house was rescued by its current owners, both experts in architecture and construction.  The Palm Springs Dome House represents their labour of love and creativity, complete with the addition of a geodesic dome that dramatically showcases the area’s diverse natural scenery (including the famous white windmills!) with a 360-degree vista from five rolling acres of land.

Sleeping up to six people in three gorgeous bedrooms, this is the ideal oasis-style retreat for art-loving families or groups of friends in need of something a little more special! What could be better than taking in the Joshua Tree National Park and the San Jacinto mountain range along with your morning coffee and evening glass of wine?

Inside, you’ll find polished concrete floors, soft rugs, contemporary furnishings and a metal-and-wood staircase that marks this home out as an homage to design. Natural light is enhanced with soft white walls, while your surroundings are energised with vibrant pops of colour throughout.

The living room features a grand 26-foot ceiling, while the views from the loft bedroom are unforgettable, permanently visible from stunning skylights in the multifaceted geodesic dome. Think endless starry skies as you drift off to sleep, and a blazing sunrise punctuated with desert windmills by morning.

Meanwhile, the spacious master bedroom on the ground floor showcases a vista that takes in the desert landscape, along with plenty of luxurious space to curl up with a book (there are plenty of books and magazines provided here). You’ll find the second bedroom at ground level too, while a dedicated office affords desert valley views that are guaranteed to inspire plenty of creativity!

There are three bathrooms, and you’ll find everything you need in the well-equipped kitchen to prepare feasts at any time of the day…along with spectacular dining spaces both inside and out. Meanwhile, the desert garden is adorned with native foliage, local wildlife and glorious views.
