Perfect for couples, families, and friends, the two lovingly-crafted treehouses you’ll discover at One Acre Wood will indulge your carefree childhood spirit… no matter how young or old you happen to be!

Beautifully elevated on a hillside that’s close to the rural Herefordshire and Worcestershire border, you’ll be surrounded by 17 pure acres of grass meadows, ‘secret’ woodland paths, tree swings, and picnic spots that are all ripe for exploring.

The charming, colourful treehouses themselves – joyfully named Fuggle and Bramling (after the hops grown nearby) – soar high amongst the whispering woodland canopy, for superlative views over the nearby fields and orchards.

What’s more, each tree-treat is secluded for maximum privacy, so there’s no need to worry about nosy neighbours (unless you count the twittering local bird life!)

Ideal for younger families and little legs, Fuggle boasts gated decking and step-free access from the woodland entrance. Three comfortable bedrooms sleep up to four adults, two children, and an infant in cosy comfort, and there are plenty of delights to discover as you explore your new surroundings.

For starters, they include toasty underfloor heating and a wood-burner for ridiculously snuggly evenings in front of the Smart TV (yes… a Smart TV in a treehouse!)

There’s a firepit and pizza oven for sunset suppers and laughter-fuelled storytelling sessions under the stars, and a luxury walk-in rainforest shower to freshen up in – though you may choose to take an opulent soak in the al fresco copper bathtub, instead.

More information

Secluded on the opposite side of the wood and boasting the same indulgent facilities, Bramling is ideal if you’ve got slightly older children in tow, with winding steps to climb, platforms to discover, and expertly-crafted nooks to escape to, armed with a good book.

What to do once you’ve settled in? Take your pick! If the sun is shining (or even if it isn’t) you can get right back to nature in the most wonderfully invigorating ways; building dens, hunting bugs, taking a wildlife trail or sledging on the grass – or indeed, the snow!

But if the weather really isn’t playing ball, or you simply want to unwind awhile, the on-site clubhouse is ideal… stocked with a ready supply of fun board games, as well as table tennis and a large TV.

Further afield, there’s a cidery (complete with a gorgeous garden and tasting room!) within bracing walking distance, or explore the nearby market town of Bromyard and its intriguing Heritage Trail.

There’s so much to see and do all around you, in fact, that you may decide just one visit to One Acre Wood isn’t nearly enough!

What the guests of One Acre Wood say

“Thank you Anne and Sean for your vision and creation, from Marsh mallow firepits to children’s den under the spiral stairs to the copper bath outside with heavenly surroundings. Comfortable beds, luxurious facilities, every need catered for. The view of the stars at night from the windows and viewing platforms, the morning mist that felt like we were floating in the clouds in our Rivendell haven. Stunning.”

“Anne and Sean are the most welcoming hosts, over and above. They set up marshmallows and fire pit, personal birthday nature trail which appealed to the adults as well! You get to walk around the 18 acres of land, views are spectacular, rope swing, glorious. We hugged the 300 year old oak tree. We told stories around the fire. My nephew loved the little den under the stairs. He didn’t want to leave, we didn’t want to leave! There is a clubhouse, with extra amenities, table tennis and comfy sofas. A lovely friendly pub with good home cooked food is just a short walk away. Thank you Anne and Sean for being so original and making us feel so welcome in this beautiful and magical place.”
