Peacefully secluded by a once-operational station on the historic Nidd Valley Railway, Nidd Valley Carriage pays whimsical homage to those romantic, steam-filled days of yore.

There are plenty of nods to the carriage’s former working life on the railway lines, with many original fixtures and fittings intact, and a retro larder. Yet you’ll also discover an array of mod cons, including a bespoke kitchen equipped with an electric hob and microwave.

Relax in the leather armchairs and enjoy stunning countryside views (that don’t whizz by in a blur) from the rear window, or take a long, lazy walk in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty… 

…or set out on the 53-mile, circular Nidderdale Way, if you’re feeling particularly energetic!
