Mökki is Finnish for “small cottage by the lake”, and you’ll find the aptly-named Mökki Santara perfectly positioned by the lake Santara, in the heart of Karelia.
Surrounded by peaceful Finnish forest, you can while away your holiday time indulging in natural pleasures that include picking mushrooms and blueberries, hiking through the trees, fishing, or simply taking a refreshing dip in the lake. A rowing boat is even provided, for exploring slightly further afield.
The Mökki itself comprises of a living cottage and a wood sauna with panoramic windows, connected by a scenery-showcasing terrace that’s ideal for al fresco drinks. Sleeping up to four people, you’ll find two double beds and a crackling wood stove, along with a well-equipped kitchen.
(By no means will you be ‘roughing it’ in the Finnish forest…the Mökki features electricity, running water and WiFi).
You’ve got nothing to do but relax, recharge and reconnect with your loved ones, simply surrounded by nature in its purest and most beautiful form.
