Designed by Frank Gehry (dubbed “the most important architect of our age” by Vanity Fair) Marqués de Riscal is a jaw-dropping retreat, at which no attention to luxurious detail has been spared.

You’ll notice the spectacular titanium exterior first; a vision made all the more arresting due to the hotel’s tranquil location amongst the vineyards of Elciego, in La Rioja’s Álava province.

Inside, each room feels like a glorious work of art, from the curved wooden walls and gleaming marble bathrooms, to the zig-zag window seats that frame those rolling valley views to perfection.
