Claim a lounger in the Real Sunlight room, complete with palm trees and beach scenes. Here you can bask in healthy sunshine 365 days a year, without the bother of applying sunscreen… and the rays are child and dog-friendly, too.

By evening, you can relax in the laid-back, boho-themed lounge, or make like James Bond and head for the glitzy casino and disco room. Test your mettle with a hair-raising game of blackjack or roulette, then dance the night away under the disco lights!

Don’t worry if you’d rather retreat from all the noise, though, since there’s also a dedicated yoga studio and meditation area on the second floor that’s ideal for Zen-types (not to mention a Zen-style bedroom).

Come together over a banquet whipped up in the huge, well-equipped family kitchen (yes, it’s even got a central island!) in the grand, medieval-themed dining room, or take your celebrations outside and break bread as the sun sets.

The stunning private gardens also feature open grass areas for the kids and dog to play in, with a gorgeous original temple… and an al fresco hot tub that’s perfect for awaiting the arrival of the stars, glass of bubbles in hand.

What of the bedrooms, you may ask? Well, this is where things get interesting, as with seven uniquely-themed rooms to choose from, you may be some time deciding on your favourite!

If you’ve brought the kids, Zanzibar is perfect; a triple room with a tropical paradise theme (and a multi-jet Jacuzzi bath!), while Unleash the Puppy is a quirky kingsize room with garden views, and a snuggly dog bed for your best four-legged friend.

There’s also a glorious kingsize room – Majestic Romance – on the ground floor, that’s ideal for those who struggle with (or who just don’t ‘do’) stairs.

Other sleeping options include taking a starring role in Frozen with the glistening Ice Palace room, stowing away in the palm-fringed Captain’s Cabin, or floating away on a fairytale in the magical Away with the Fairies room, complete with garden views.

What to do when you’ve woken up? Well, since you’re in the heart of Lincolnshire, there’s plenty to see and do, from visiting historic market towns to spending time by the windswept coast.
