Set in a peaceful garden in the scenic heart of Guernsey, Mango Lodge at Kimberley’s Cottage Guernsey is a gloriously rustic retreat-for-two, imaginatively transformed from a humble goat-shed that dates back to the 1960s.

Rich in contemporary style, the Austrian-style wooden walls and ceiling will make you feel as though you’re relaxing in a luxurious Alpine ski-lodge, while an abundance of butter-soft furnishings and well-chosen accessories offer a warm sense of home.

Friendly owners Kim and Klaus renovated their beloved Lodge themselves; also seeing to it that your every holiday need is provided for.

For example, there’s a well-equipped country kitchen with a farmhouse-style breakfast bar… and a lovely welcome pack that includes everything you’ll need to rustle up a delicious continental breakfast for your first morning – with fresh eggs readily supplied by Kim and Klaus’s flock of ducks and chickens!

You’ll also have a ridiculously comfy kingsize bed to curl up in at the end of a long day exploring (or relaxing, whichever you prefer) and a sleek en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a light-up mirror, and fluffy bath towels.

Outside awaits a private deck that’s perfect for getting lost in a good book, and a patio decorated with lush plants and sumptuous garden furniture. Since Guernsey is one of the sunniest locations in the UK, there’s plenty of scope for lazy al fresco afternoons that lead nicely into the evening.

In the mood for a sizzling sunset supper? There’s a barbecue ready and waiting, along with a chiminea to keep you company when the stars come out to play later on.
