Discover magical Magherintemple Lodge in the enchanting seaside town of Ballycastle, just a stone’s throw from the golden sands!

Tranquil and picturesque, the historic Lodge was originally built in the late 19th century in imposing Scottish Baronial style.  The home was later updated with beautiful Victorian additions by Sir John Casement – father of the renowned Sir Roger – who added personal embellishments including a date stone and an inscription over the door.

Ideal for families seeking some much-needed peace and quiet along with the handy ability to nip to the beach whenever the mood strikes, the mostly ground-level Lodge sleeps two adults and two children in a delightful double bedroom and kids’ bunk room.  You can even bring the dog along for a well-deserved break, too!

You’ll find the Lodge extremely welcoming from the moment you arrive, with plenty of natural light that floods inside.  Traditionally furnished for exceptional comfort throughout, the lounge features a cosy open fire that’s perfect for snuggling beside on colder evenings, with plenty of gas-fired central heating to keep everybody toasty wherever they happen to be.  Free of distracting TV, you’ll find plenty of opportunity to reconnect with your loved ones throughout your stay.

The well-equipped kitchen and dining area is sociably spacious, perfect for gathering together over a hearty breakfast and planning that day’s particular holiday adventure.  You’ll find that while Magherintemple Lodge is a traditional holiday home steeped in history, there are still plenty of luxury mod-cons to save you precious holiday time, including a handy dishwasher.

The patio garden, complete with furniture, is the perfect place to sit and chat about life, love and future plans over drinks and snacks as you watch the golden sunset…while for those who prefer an indoor thinking space, hidden away at the very top of the house is a cosy area that’s perfect for curling up with your favourite magazine, completely undisturbed!

Later on, discover two pretty bedrooms, equipped with comfy beds dressed in fresh linen, all ready and waiting for you to enjoy a blissfully silent night’s sleep.
