Macaronesia, made up of islands belonging to Portugal, Spain and Cape Verde, translates as “islands of the fortunate”, and with a relaxing stay in this quirky, much loved Tenerife cave house, you’ll feel very fortunate indeed!
You’ll find your beautifully rugged holiday home on a peaceful farm, in a friendly village on the edge of Anaga Rural Park. Not only will you’ll feel part of a warm community from the moment you arrive, but you’ll be superbly placed between Tenerife’s two major cities, introducing you to the very best in Tenerife activity and sightseeing.
Oh – and you’ll also be just 20 minutes away from Teresitas Beach, named as one of the best in Europe.
Sleeping up to four people, your cave suite is surrounded by fruit orchards and a spacious garden chock-full of sweet-scented herbs, plenty of comfy seating, and even featuring its own ‘chillout’ area! You’ll also discover a sun terrace, a solarium and a refreshing natural swimming pool for lazy afternoon dips.
Designed to keep naturally warm in winter and cool in summer, eco-friendly comfort is at the forefront in your cave suite. You’ll find everything you need inside to enjoy a luxurious holiday, including an open-plan living area with Smart TV, a well-equipped mini-kitchen complete with dining area, and an opulent marble bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi and a luxurious shower you’ll want to stay under for days!
The master bedroom is cosily furnished with twin beds, while you’ll find a second, loft-style room equipped with two Japanese-style singles (there’s also a sofa bed in the living area for any extra guests). You can expect a silent night’s sleep every night…in fact, you may be surprised at just how luxurious cave living can be!
If you can tear yourselves away from your cave, you’ll find plenty of delights to discover in the local area. At a glance
- Quirky Tenerife cave suite, sleeping up to four people in two bedrooms. The cave is set on farmland in the village of Valle Jimenez, and includes access to a sun terrace, spacious gardens, orchards and a natural swimming pool. Teresitas Beach is 20 minutes away by car.
- Fly to North Tenerife Airport, 10 minutes away by car. A car is recommended due to the cave’s rural location.
- The cave is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a TV, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are indoor and outdoor areas for dining, and all bedding and towels are included. Private chef hire is available.
- The cost of your stay includes a donation to a local donkey charity. Take a hike with the donkeys, visit Anaga Rural Park, indulge in some climbing, or simply spend a day at the beach!

For a lively day out, jump in the car and head for Santa Cruz de Tenerife City, an intriguing mix of ancient and modern. Here you’ll find a natural history museum, botanic gardens and an array of sandy beaches, while further south lies the volcanic landscapes of the Teide National Park.
With so much to occupy your time and energy, all that’s left to do is head back to your cave suite at the end of an exhausting day…just in time to watch the blazing sunset over a delicious al fresco meal (prepared by a private chef if you don’t feel like cooking!)
As you relax and watch the stars emerging in the clear night sky overhead, you might just decide that a cave life is the only life you want to live.
Things to note
No pets permitted. No smoking. No parties or events allowed. Check in time is flexible, check out time is 12:00 noon. The swimming pool is not heated, and is shared with the property owners. The bathroom has been adapted for disability access and the property is considered disability accessible, enquire for details.
