Welcome to a breathtaking, architect-designed glass retreat inspired by the Japanese concept of zen, with Michelin-starred dining and immersive views of Catalonia’s Garrotxa Volcanic Nature Reserve.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1

  • Minimum stay: 1 night

Designed by the award-winning practice RCR Architects, Les Cols Pavellons draws upon the meditative Japanese concept of zen, to offer a serene oasis in the Catalonian city of Olot.

Surrounded by mesmerising views of the Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa Natural Park are five pavilions, furnished in minimalist style and constructed entirely from glass.  Rooms sleep two adults only – so if there’s ever been a good excuse to call your favourite babysitter, this is it.

Bathing is taken to blissful new levels with each pavilion’s private onsen (Japanese hot spring) set under the whispering trees, and there is no TV to distract you from that incredible volcanic backdrop… or indeed, from reconnecting with your loved one in supreme natural comfort.

A fresh local breakfast is served each morning, and for an extra treat, why not arrange dinner in the Michelin-starred on-site restaurant; a typical Catalan country house serving expertly-crafted, mouth-watering dishes to remember?

With nothing else to do but relax, take a lazy wander through the surrounding orchard and enjoy the incredible sights, sounds, and scents of nature – your heady, sensory stay at Les Cols Pavellons will ensure you appreciate these to their fullest effect.

(You’ll even be offered a freshly-packed picnic bag, for when you stumble across the perfect al fresco lunch spot).
