Complete with a private morning yoga deck and al fresco bath tub, Ledmacoy Shepherd’s Huts effortlessly combine the pleasures of outdoor living with the most spectacular natural scenery.

You’ll find Ledmacoy Farm in the lush, leafy arms of the Cairngorms National Park in Aberdeenshire, boasting superlative Scottish Glen views and friendly owners who can’t wait to welcome you!

In fact, not only do Ian, Becky and their family live and work on the farm, but the luxurious shepherd’s huts were also designed and built by Becky herself, with a little help from a talented local joiner.

Ideal for a romantic couple or a small family who love fresh-air adventure, Oystercatcher View is the farm’s flagship hut. Painted in a bright, cheerful blue and furnished in fresh coastal style, the retreat sleeps up to four guests in a snuggly fold-down kingsize bed, and a fixed bunkbed for two children.

You’ll be welcomed with delights that include hot drinks – including hot chocolate and marshmallows! – and some delicious home-made cake… an ideal way to start your holiday.

The kitchen is perfectly equipped for you to whip up all kinds of fabulous feasts later on, though on balmy evenings you might prefer heading out to your firepit and grill for sizzling sunset suppers, instead.

When you’re not savouring the scenery and stars from that fairy-lit outdoor bath, cosy evenings can be spent unwinding together in the comfy open plan living space. There’s no TV, but a ready supply of games will more than help you pass the time. Oh, and Wi-Fi is available, if you must insist on checking in with the outside world!

More information

Complete your morning freshen-up routine in the en-suite shower room, with its unlimited supply of piping hot water and ‘proper’ flushing toilet. You’ll even find a stack of fluffy towels and toiletries generously provided.

Let the kids run wild and free in the secure garden area as you take your time over morning coffee, then how about a complimentary tour of the farm? If you plan your visit for spring, you may get to feed the resident lambs!

You could also choose to get up close and personal with this beautiful part of the world, by packing a picnic and heading for one of many walking and cycling trails (secure mountain bike storage is available on site.)
