Beautifully located in the Eastern Alps, the Austrian region of Carinthia is characterised by its breathtakingly picturesque mountains and lakes – including Pirkdorfer See, which is one of Europe’s warmest and purest bathing lakes.
It’s here that you’ll discover Lakeside Petzen Glamping, Austria’s first glamping resort. From the moment you arrive, you’re sure to agree that a more perfect spot just couldn’t be imagined!
Better still, the resort is packed with everything you could possibly want, and much more besides. Not only is there a dedicated children’s playground, and a bar for the grown-ups, there’s also a friendly on-site restaurant, tree saunas to relax in, and a firepit that’s perfect for marshmallow toasting under the emerging stars.
Accommodation-wise, you can choose from family-sized, glass-fronted havens that sleep up to six guests, luxury glamping tents for families and couples, and three stunning tree houses… all equipped with goodie-packed welcome baskets, and thoughtful little gifts for the children.
Whichever you choose, you can expect generous kitchen (except in glamping tents for couples) and bathroom facilities, downy beds, high-quality furnishings, and terraces that are ideal for watching the sun rise and set over the mountains as you sip your evening tipple.
(The family-sized glamping tents even feature a first-floor balcony that faces the Petzen mountain – what a way to greet each new morning!)
For something truly unique and reconnected to nature, why not book one of the three Lakeside Sky Tents? Wonderfully suspended amidst the branches, these tree tents even feature a first-floor terrace that faces out toward Petzen Mountain and the Pirkdorfer Lake – the perfect backdrop to wake up to each morning! Inside, you can expect high levels of comfort and luxury, with downy beds and quality furnishings, not forgetting the all-important terrace, where you can enjoy watching the sun rise and set over the mountains whilst enjoying a sundowner.Keep reading
