Created by Kate Pierson, star of the rock band The B-52s, you can bet a stay at Kate’s Lazy Desert will be anything but ordinary.

Six vintage airstreams, all restored to lively perfection by renowned artists and designers, await your arrival in the Mojave High Desert in California (just twenty minutes from the famous Joshua Tree National Park).

Each airstream is individually named and styled, from the kitschy and adventurous Hot Lava, to space-age, dog friendly Planet Air. All are equipped with a comfy double bed, a bathroom and basic kitchen facilities. Just bring yourselves (and plenty of layers…desert weather is known for being a little extreme).

Ideal for enjoying the wilderness at its absolute best, this break is ideal for campers who still hanker after a few of the finer things in life. One thing is for certain, once you’ve experienced those incredible starry nights and amazing views that only the desert can bring, the idea of a traditional hotel suite may leave you stone cold.
