Enjoy a slice of quiet lakeside life with a stay in a architect-designed boathouse on the edge of the popular Peak District National Park.
  • Sleeps: 2
  • Bedroom: 1
  • Bathroom: 1
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

The banks of Rudyard Lake is the serene setting for this highly unique wood-panelled boathouse arranged over two levels with a perfect spot on the first floor balcony to enjoy gorgeous views up and down the lake. Imagine enjoying sundowners as you relax and forget all about the demands of everyday life. As the area is so biodiverse with lush swathes of woodland there are ideal opportunities for wildlife and birdwatching, and the woodland prints its colourful reflection on the waters for true postcard scenery.

Inside the boathouse you’ll find an inviting open-plan living room with a great sense of space, wood beams and kitchen with breakfast bar, all finished in a contemporary style. Ideal for a romantic break for two (although perhaps with the dog in tow!) the double bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom for extra convenience. Perhaps enjoy an al fresco lakeside barbecue or get active and cycle or canoe to take advantage of the nature around you, which even has a tree preservation order to protect it!  The boathouse also has its own canoe/cycle store should you wish to bring your own equipment along.
