Ingeniously crafted from three shipping containers and elevated over 1330 feet above sea level, Hous Viridis showcases the magnificent Yorkshire landscape to absolute perfection.

You’ll find the luxurious, nature-hued retreat (viridis is the Latin word for green) dreamily secluded on a 10-acre smallholding, complete with rare-breed sheep, free-range chickens – whose eggs you’re welcome to collect – and pet pygmy goats.

In other words, this is the ultimate setting for an escape from hectic everyday life. And with three cosy bedrooms to choose from, you can bring some of your favourite people along for a well-deserved break, too.

The opulent, chandelier-adorned living area boasts an eight-person corner sofa for epic movie nights on the large Smart TV with Sonos sound bar, log burner glowing softly in the background. There’s a selection of vintage board games to crack open, too.

Rustle up plentiful meals and snacks in the well-equipped kitchen, with its sleek Neff appliances, instant boiling water tap, and indulgent luxuries that include a Nespresso machine and a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser – coffee and chocolate included, of course!

There’s an original refurbished Ercol dining suite to break bread at, complemented by sublime floor-to-ceiling window views… and a vintage cocktail cabinet with glasses and recipes to make you feel like characters in a plush period drama.

On a balmy summer’s evening you might choose to wander outside, to be greeted by an al fresco sanctuary that includes a kitchen with a hot stone pizza oven and a hand-made barbecue/firepit – ideal for stargazing.
