A perfect blend of natural beauty, indulgent luxury, and thoughtful sustainability, Holly Water Cabin is a place to truly unwind… far from the digital distractions and demands of day-to-day life.
When you arrive, it’ll feel as though you’ve set foot in another world entirely. Completely surrounded by wide open Devon farmland and diverse, flourishing wildlife habitats, the cabin boasts sublime rural views that are completely uninterrupted.
Then, as you take in your blissful holiday surroundings, you’ll note the dedicated attention to detail throughout. Owners Sara and Ed worked with a Dartmoor-based design company to build the cabin, with a focus on sustainable living.
The result is a breathable space crafted to cutting-edge eco-build principles, using materials that include timber sourced from Devon sawmills, and temperature-regulating natural clay plaster.
Meanwhile, the décor is soft-toned and sumptuous throughout, with natural daylight flooding cheerfully in through enormous glass doors. Slide them open to welcome the outside in, or step out onto the sheltered wooden deck, where a plethora of delights await.
These include a stunning copper bath for dreamy sunset soaks, along with fluffy robes, comfy chairs and a firebowl for late-night conversations under the stars. If you’re in the mood for an al fresco feast, simply wander along to your very own campfire cooking area just across the stream, or head back inside to the well-equipped kitchen.
Here you’ll find a generous welcome pack, including breakfast treats that range from bacon and eggs to granola, bread and honey (not forgetting a ready supply of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate!)

More information
For cosy evenings in, light the wood-burning stove and crack open a board game, before sinking into a sound night’s sleep in the downy kingsize bed… lullabies provided by the occasional owl’s hoot.
Cradle your first morning coffee out on the deck – if you can get up early enough, watch the sun rising slowly over the fields for a wonderful day-starter – then freshen up in the walk-in shower, complete with soft towels and a selection of all-natural toiletries.
Fancy a stroll? Sara and Ed have provided plenty of maps for the most beautiful local walks. Though you could also saunter along to the highly-recommended, super-friendly local pub, The Ring of Bells, for a Ringer’s Ramble Pack: consisting of a local map and a tasty picnic of (among other treats) local beer, cheese, and a handmade sausage roll!
If you’d rather jump in the car, you can reach Dartmoor, Exmoor, and the coast in around an hour, or pay a visit to the historic city of Exeter for shopping and culture.
But of course, if all that sounds a little too energetic then you’ve always got the option of holing yourselves up at Holly Water Cabin… a highly tempting option at that!

“Just wanted to let you know how beautiful, calming and enchanting your Holly Water Cabin is – I would come back in a heart beat. Thank you so much.”
“I had such a wonderful time at Holly Water. There was such caring attention to detail to make the stay special in every way, from the beautiful craftsmanship of the cabin itself, to the furnishings, Christmas decorations, blankets and sheepskins for sitting outside, food essentials, and gorgeous bathroom products. The owners commitment to their guests stay, is also evident in the environment itself, and watching breakfast time in the sorghum and sunflowers was a joy. I cannot wait to come back.”
