Hollow Oak Glamping comprises two lovingly bespoke wooden cabins, set on a peaceful and picture-perfect working farm.
Boasting a striking 16th century farmhouse, and an assortment of animals that include a herd of pedigree cattle, sheep, goats, and inquisitive hens and ducks, it’s hard to imagine a purer example of Welsh rural idyll.
Friendly owner Rheon grew up on the farm, where he now lives with his partner Lucy and their own family. A special and captivating place, there are even links with a medieval Welsh lord, and there is a rich abundance of local wildlife, whose sights and sounds are ridiculously easy to get lost in.
Keen to share these unique and much-loved surroundings with guests, Rheon hand-crafted each of the two cabins himself, from local larch and red cedar. Primed for relaxation and reconnection, you’ll find both beautifully positioned under a centuries-old, hollow-bottomed oak tree… from which the farm acquired its name!
Whichever you choose, you’ll find it equipped with underfloor heating, toasty double-glazed windows and a full-length glass door. Generous facilities include a well-equipped kitchen and a piping-hot shower, along with snuggly seating areas and scenic, soft-lit decking – perfect for catching those awe-inspiring sunsets.
Later, when the stars come out to play, wander along to the firepit area just by the stream. Add a mug of hot chocolate and some marshmallows for toasting, and you’re in heaven!

What the guests of Hollow Oak Glamping say
“Thank you for having us in your beautiful Cwt! It was exactly the idyll that we needed to escape our busy London lives. We loved meeting you both, and all of your extended animal family. Your Watkin Path Snowdon recommendation resulted in the most magical day for us and some wild swimming post-summit! We are sad to leave and can’t wait to visit again! A truly special place.”
“Wow! What a beautiful setting and a perfect little cabin. You really did think of everything. Thank you Lucy and Rheon for being so welcoming and showing us around your farm. We have loved sitting on the porch and watching nature. We were especially excited to see the bats of an evening! You really have made the cabin feel like a home.”
“So happy that we’ve found our new sanctuary to visit. Thank you so much for helping us to make some special memories. Can’t wait to come back!”
