Enjoy morning coffee on the balcony, then freshen up in the ornate en-suite shower room, which looks as though it’s been plucked straight from a high-end hotel suite (what a way to begin your day!)

If you don’t want to stray too far from your heavenly treehouse, there’s a picnic spot in the meadow below that’s perfect for chatting away lazy afternoons over a bottle of wine (or two!)

But if you’re in the mood to explore, the green, traffic-free Tissington Trail is all but on your doorstep, as are the striking limestone landscapes of the southern White Peak – both great excuses for lacing up those hiking boots.

You could also visit the picturesque town of Ashbourne, known as “the gateway to Dovedale”. With its winding cobbled streets and heritage buildings, you’ll feel as though you’ve wandered straight onto the set of a romantic period drama!
