The open-plan living and dining area is warmly welcoming, with a vintage table and a large sofa that tempts you to curl up with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine as you watch the world go by. For an extra treat, fire up the wood burning stove and the underfloor heating, for a wonderfully cosy feel.

The compact kitchen area is well-equipped with a clever multifunction oven and microwave, and complete with Designer’s Guild tableware and linen for a stylish edge to those lovingly home-prepared romantic feasts!

Wander upstairs to the jewel in Harbour Moon’s crown – the bright, beautiful bedroom with its high, white wooden-beamed ceiling and partial glass floor that allows the morning sunshine to come flooding inside. From your custom-built king sized bed, you can enjoy waking up to boats bobbing past the harbour wall, and drift off to sleep with the soothing soundtrack of waves lapping against golden sand.

The bed’s unique harbour-styled headboard doubles as a divider to an indulgent walk-in shower room, complete with hammered bronze basin and deliciously heated towel rail…this is a room you’ll want to spend some serious lazy time in!

Steeped in seaside charm, you’ll no doubt want to explore all the delights that the wonderfully named village of Mousehole has to offer. Small in size, yet bursting with charm and local hotspots, you’ll find plenty to occupy your time. Why not begin with a hearty breakfast at Hole Foods Deli, just a few doors down from your holiday hideaway, before planning a trawl around the local galleries – with the occasional pub or deli pit stop along the way, of course!

• The cottage is within walking distance of a selection of shops, beaches, galleries and restaurants, and within a few miles of Penzance.

Fresh air fanatics (including the dog!) may prefer scenic coastal walks past windswept coves, from which you can access the renowned outdoor Minack Theatre. With Mousehole located just a few miles from Penzance, you’ll also find there is much scope for day trips, before returning to your heavenly haven for snacks and a well-deserved nightcap.

Things to note

Striclty no smoking, not suitable for wheelchairs, parking is limited in Mousehole, there are 2 harbour car parks nearby which are a 3 minute walk from the property, small to medium sized dogs are permitted upon prior arrangement at a cost of £50 per dog per stay. Dogs are only permitted on the beach in Cornwall between 1st October and Easter Sunday.
