The brainchild of owners Hank and Sarah, both avid nature-lovers who fell in love with America’s Old Wild West whilst travelling, Hank’s Ranch will make you feel like you’ve just stumbled onto a classic Western movie set.
Comprising 3.5 acres of wild West Norfolk land, you’ll be peacefully surrounded by the abundant charms of nature (there’s even a resident peacock!) with some of the country’s best beaches a mere 45 minutes away.
Perfect for city slickers in need of a good ol’ rest, there are three bespoke-crafted, authentic themed cabins – an 1850s Jail, a Church, or a General Store – for you to choose from, as well as a forthcoming friendly and communal Saloon to say howdy, play cards, and whet your whistles in by evening.
Each cabin sleeps two adults in comfort, with two faithful and well-behaved hounds also welcome to join the fun.
Whichever cabin you choose, you can expect to be greeted by a super-soft kingsize bed (yes, even in jail!) with an en-suite that boasts a ‘tin bucket’ rainfall shower, fluffy towels, and complimentary eco-toiletries.
Naturally, you’ll have your own sizzling firepit for barbecuing and marshmallow-toasting, and there’s a larger shared firepit for campfire songs and stories with new friends. Yet if you prefer cooking inside, there’s a handmade kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need to whip up a tasty supper… plus a one-of-a-kind worktop and a copper sink.
You’ll also find Hank and Sarah have thoughtfully provided a welcome pack with all those holiday essentials included: tea, coffee, milk, bread and jam, plus a ready supply of logs for your firepit (so you won’t have to go out wood splittin’!)

What the guests of Hank’s Ranch say
“We loved our stay at Hanks Ranch, it offers something different and is really fun. Definitely one of the best staycation’s we have taken. My boyfriend and I stayed for New Year and had the most relaxing break. The Jail is so cosy and comfortable and makes a great use of the small space. The bed is very comfortable, and the bucket shower is powerful and hot. We cooked steaks in the kitchen and the oven hob both work well. The attention to detail is perfect and real time and attention has been put into the cabin. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening wearing our ponchos. We loved the little welcome pack we were given it was very thoughtful. We enjoyed talking with Hank about the build of the cabins and the bespoke elements of each. Hank was very accommodating to our requests and was a great host. I would highly recommend a stay here, and I’m sure we’ll be back when the other cabins are finished to stay in the church.”
“Can we give 6 stars? Had such a brilliant stay for three nights on what was a dreary and rainy week. Being immersed in Hanks world was fun and we had a good laugh. We stayed in the Jail, while authentic was super comfy, best nights sleep I have had in months and a dreamy shower. Well worth the money.”
“Staying at Hanks Ranch has been an amazing experience! You really feel transported back in time. The bed is so soft and cosy, it gives you the sensation of sleeping on a cloud of hay! And the field outside, the porch, the rain, the silence….. the best place to relax😊 Thank you so much, I really needed some time off.”
