A laid-back, light-filled retreat on the longest and most spacious beach in Cornwall, with incredible sea-and-lighthouse views over the sand dunes.
  • Sleeps: 5
  • Bedrooms: 3
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Minimum stay: 2 nights

Characterised by wild dunes, and forming part of St. Ives Bay’s famous ‘three miles of golden sand’, Gwithian Beach is listed among The Times’ top 10 surfing locations.

So, we wholeheartedly recommend packing your wetsuit on your break to Gwithian Lookout.

Don’t worry if you don’t enjoy getting up close and personal with the waves, though. You’re more than welcome to watch them come and go from the comfort of this wonderfully laid-back retreat, which also showcases views out to Godrevy Lighthouse.

Boasting vaulted ceilings and enormous walls of glass, it won’t even matter if the weather isn’t playing ball… in fact, on stormy days when the sky is moody-grey and the sea choppy, you can huddle up with a mug of coffee and soak up all the atmospheric drama!

Sociably open plan, the cedar-clad retreat sleeps up to five guests; perfect for couples who enjoy lots of space, or a small group of friends or family. Simple furnishings let those incredible views speak for themselves, yet there’s an abundance of both sumptuous cosiness and sleek, polished style.

Light the wood-burning stove and curl up on the corner sofa by evening, after a delicious seafaring feast whipped up in the well-equipped kitchen, which sports gorgeous local granite worktops.  The dining area features comfy wicker seating, below a lobster pot lampshade – very on point!

Meanwhile, hand-crafted wooden ladders lead to casual, light-filled living spaces that are ideal for curling up with a good book… if you can tear your eyes away from the dreamy views over the rooftops, that is.
