Moored at the secure, gated Limehouse Marina, your floating haven occupies a central, coveted position in the City of London. Savour morning coffee against a shimmering backdrop of the River Thames, safe in the knowledge that the city’s best attractions are in easy reach.

A traditional widebeam barge, Gra is reminiscent of the vessels that worked the length of the river in centuries past. Yet you’ll be greeted by luxury fixtures and fittings that are decidedly modern.

Sleeping up to four adults in two kingsize cabins, the décor is classic and elegant – think soft wood, nautical blue and crisp white – throughout. Evening entertainment comes in the form of not one but two 40” TVs; one in the relaxed, daylight-filled salon and the other in the master bedroom.

Oh, and you’ll also have high-speed Wi-Fi to help you catch up with work (or life back on dry land!)

Whip up seafaring feasts in the sleek, spacious kitchen, which is gainfully equipped with a chef-worthy preparation island and appliances of just about every description. There’s a washing-machine, a dishwasher, and even a wine-cooler… an essential accompaniment to sunset-watching later on.

Grab a plush chair at the dining table by the kitchen (so you can chat to the designated chef, wine-glass in hand, as they toil away!) or if the sun’s out, head for the enclosed seating area on deck for al fresco dining with superlative views.

Perfectly positioned between Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf, Gra’s prime location means London is truly your oyster. Will you take a three-minute stroll to the DLR station and take your pick of central stops? Or would you rather catch a Thames Clipper and glide your way to all manner of legendary attractions, from St. Paul’s Cathedral to the London Transport Museum?

You could combine your boat-trip with a bird’s eye view of the city from an IFS Cloud Cable Car, or even embark on an illuminated river tour that takes in nine spectacular bridges.

However you decide to spend your time in the Big Smoke, Gra Houseboat is the ideal base… though be warned: once you’ve settled in, you may take some persuading to disembark!
