Enjoying the great outdoors is top of the list at Gorsebank, so while your accommodation is well appointed with ensuite shower room, double bed, dining table, kitchenette, TV & wifi, it’s the outdoor space where you’ll want to spend most of your time.
A giant wrap around deck surrounds your cabin, on which you’ll find your wood fired outdoor tub for two. A covered dine-and-grill area with BBQ grill provides sheltered cooking and al fresco dining, whilst at night the soft backlight of the decking lights, are complimented by the crackle and flickering flames from the log burner to give romantic suppers a cosy background glow.
After enjoying your tub, sit back in your settle down chairs and watch nature pass by and the amazing stargazing as darkness falls.
Contained Bliss – Forest Dawn boasts an enviable position right at the top of the farm, to showcase panoramic views over the forests and fields. Relaxing in your wood-fired Dutchtub for two at the end of a long day rambling in nature is an absolute treat – particularly if you add a glass of bubbles!
Discover Contained Bliss – Woodland Copse through a twisty tree-lined path, in a beautiful private space all of its own. The gorgeous wrap-around deck is perfect for morning coffee and sunset tipples alike, as cosy settle-down chairs furnish long, endlessly glorious conversations about life, love, memories and plans for new adventures.

Set amongst the crags that overlook the meadow and trout lochan, Contained Bliss – Rockery Retreat has a soothing rugged feel… and since it’s also positioned in the ‘dark skies’ area of the farm, stargazing in your Scandi wood-fired tub-for-two takes on an even more magical quality.
Last but by no means least, Contained Bliss – Aspen Dazzle overlooks the Aspen copse of trees at the far reaches of the farm, where you’ll share your enchanting surroundings with deer, otter, and badgers, as well as the birds that provide your uplifting morning soundtrack.
Whichever retreat you opt for, you’ll have the chance to make it even more special with a delicious marshmallow toasting kit, a hot tub pre-lighting service, or bed linen and towel hire that means you can pack wonderfully light.
Accommodation duly settled into, you’re free to explore both the 80 acres on the farm and miles of neighbouring forest walking trails. Alternatively pop down to the coast and take in a stunning cliff top walk, which links the scenic small fishing villages. Feeling more adventurous, you can enjoy the many activities on offer at Gorsebank. A guided off-road Segway experience, will see you whizzing around the meadows and woodlands.
You could also hire a bikes, including e-bikes, from the site and take in off on the Dalbeattie 7 Stanes bike trails, situated close by, or maybe hire tackle and spend an hour or two fishing in the various ponds on the farm.
