Comprising two imaginative and enchanting glampsites, your stay at Glamping Under the Stars will re-introduce you to the endless joys of nature… and the cheerful company of your favourite people.

Perfect for fun family adventures, laid-back hen parties, and group breaks alike, you’ll discover the two sites – Mountain and Meadow – secluded in historic, culture-steeped Laois; part of Ireland’s captivating ‘Ancient East’ and home to one of the oldest mountain ranges in Europe.

Yet since you’ll only be an hour away from lively Dublin, you can indulge in just about whatever activity takes your fancy… whether that’s lazy woodland strolls, energising mountain hikes, hearty campfire songs, or savouring a welcome pint of Guinness with friendly locals!

So, which glampsite will you choose? Insta-friendly Mountain is plucked straight from the pages of an epic fantasy novel, with six quirky grass-roofed retreats that each boast a unique and playful theme (for example, Music House includes lamps crafted from musical instruments, and a ‘music sheet’ fence!)

Each house sleeps a family of up to six guests (a maximum of four adults), and the Woodcutter’s House even boasts a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Stargazers’ House, Garden House, and Ski Chalet House feature their own en-suites, and there’s a gorgeous glass-covered verandah to enjoy al fresco meals all together, surrounded by Cullenagh countryside.

Prefer something a little more akin to traditional glamping? Meadow is a secure, wide open landscaped space that’s home to bell tents, wood lodges, and a cosy shepherd’s hut for a relaxed ‘festival’ feel.

Perfectly in tune with nature, there are two acres of wildflower meadow to explore (with wiggly paths mown through especially!) and a fascinating, tree-trunk-supported dining cabin for laughter-fuelled communal suppers.

Whichever glampsite you choose, you’ll find it contains a wealth of facilities that make holiday life a beautiful breeze. ‘Glamp House’ kitchens contain all the cooking equipment you could ask for, while sizzling barbecues and comfy campfire areas mean you can enjoy life in the Great Outdoors to the fullest.

And of course, there’ll be plenty of safe, green, nature-filled space to play and picnic in… whichever you prefer!

How else can you while away your time at Glamping Under the Stars? Take your pick, from exploring the other-worldly forest walks and waterfalls of Slieve Bloom Mountains, to discovering the area’s many unique ancient monuments.

Oh – and Electric Picnic, which just happens to be one of Ireland’s largest music festivals, is held just five miles down the road from your chosen glampsite!

Things to note

Each Glampsite sleeps a maximum of 24 adults. Mountain Glampsite is open for group bookings from March – November, and Meadow Glampsite from April – September. There is a 2-night minimum weekend stay (Friday and Saturday) at both. All hen parties and adult groups must fully book one glampsite.
