  • Sleeps: 2 or 5 per tent
  • Bedrooms: 1 or 2 per tent
  • Bathrooms: 1 per tent
  • Minimum stay: 1 night

Named Slovenia’s ‘Best Glamping 2017 and 2018′, Olimia Adria Village is a true one-stop shop for all your holiday needs.

For starters, your location couldn’t be more dreamlike. Podcetrtek is beautifully situated by the sparkling Sotla river, marking the border between Slovenia and Croatia. The river provides a breathtaking backdrop for the jewel in the village crown – Aqualuna, a wondrous (and enormous!) water park, found within mere minutes of your glamping village.

Discover 20 pre-pitched safari lodges at Olimia Adria, all surrounded by whispering trees and connected by wooden walkways. The selection of tents sleep either two or up to four guests, and each boasts a sun-trapping terrace that’s ideal for starting off your holiday (along with a well-deserved drink, of course!)

The luxury doesn’t end there. If you’ve always loved the idea of sleeping under the stars, but weren’t sure if you could rough it in the Great Outdoors, rest assured that you won’t have to here!

Your self-contained safari lodge comes complete with wooden cabinets, air conditioning, cosy beds, a lazy lounge area, bathroom and kitchenette. Electricity means you can enjoy a spot of TV watching (just in case you tire of those amazing natural views!) and boil up plenty of water for that essential morning coffee. There’s even WiFi, though we’re convinced you won’t need it.
With free entry to Aqualuna included in your stay, kids of all ages will be in heaven!   Also included in the rates is access to the communal pool, unlimited bathing in wellness Termalia Relax and free entrance to Terme Tuhelj and its pools. Meanwhile, nearby Terme Olimia is within a ten-minute stroll from the glamping village and enjoys award-winning status as one of Eastern Europe’s largest thermal spa centres. Here you can indulge in a therapeutic massage, a full programme of wellness treatments and inspiring herbal remedies. Why not take an energising dip in the Jacuzzi, then a relaxing few moments in the sauna, before swimming in luxurious pools complete with under-water music and lighting?

Of course, you may prefer pulling on your walking boots and exploring the area! If so, you’re in luck, because there’s plenty to see and do. History buffs will be captivated by Podcetrtek’s exquisite 17th century castle, while the village itself offers plenty of shops, bakeries and delis to while away time in.

A stroll along the Sotla river banks is an idyllic way to spend a sunny afternoon, while nearby ?okoladnica Olimje is a chocolate factory selling mouthwatering treats it would be shame not to try!
