East Thorne Roundhouses was lovingly created by a family who fell in love with glamping and the Great Outdoors… then promptly set about creating a sublime sanctuary for guests in need of a little extra luxury!

The result is a sumptuous collection of roundhouse retreats, perfectly positioned in a heavenly rural Cornish setting, close to the sweeping coast. But that’s if you can tear yourselves away, of course.

Two of the Roundhouses are exclusively for romantic couples, in which style and luxury are taken to whole new levels!

Reflecting the friendly owners’ ethos of “food, flames, the ocean, and a love for the outdoors”, there’s a generous nod to the site’s yurt glamping heritage… with all the best elements not only kept, but beautifully upgraded.

The Secret Roundhouse is an elegant celebration of the Great Outdoors at its absolute greatest. There’s a gorgeous al fresco supper kitchen, a wood-fired hot tub (round, of course!) and a firepit to huddle round, as you whisper sweet nothings under the stars.

Exquisitely crafted from larch wood, the curved hideaway itself boasts a sedum grass roof… and there’s a central sky porthole that means you can carry on stargazing even when you’re inside.

Cynefin, meanwhile, is named after the Welsh word for that cosy, deep-rooted sense of home. Here you’ll discover a fully-fitted kitchen and an indulgent double shower, as well as a glorious roll-top bathtub just waiting to be filled with bubbles!

Wander through the bi-fold doors and out to your electric hot tub, where you can enjoy a glass of fizz as the sun begins its scenic descent over the valley.

Since the entire East Thorne site is infused with a warm community spirit, you might find yourselves moved to explore the shared areas, such as the comforting evening campfire and outdoor pizza oven… safe in the knowledge that you’ll have your own private space to return to whenever you feel like it.

The luxury doesn’t quite end there, however. There are also plenty of foodie treats and locally-sourced hampers on offer too – such as a Romantic Gourmet Glamper Hamper, or a ‘Brekky Glamper Hamper’ that takes delicious care of breakfast on your first morning.

Further afield, how about a coastal walk, or a visit to some of Cornwall’s loveliest places? Boscastle and Tintagel offer even more beautiful scenery, with nearby Clovelly a haven of picture-perfect streets.
