Featured in The Times as one of the UK and Europe’s top 20 glamping retreats, and more recently described by The Telegraph as Europe’s ‘best retreat’, DDG Retreat invites you to take everything you know about glamping holidays…and apply a seriously luxurious upgrade.

Located in Sierra Crestellina, one of the region’s protected national parks, you’ll be completely surrounded by the very best of coast and country at this four-hectare, family-run woodland estate. Privately situated 500 metres above the sea on the stunning coast of Spain’s Costa del Sol, you’ll find sun-soaked relaxation ridiculously easy.

Tents by name, palatial suites by nature, the lavish Royal and exotic Maharaja each come complete with a hot tub or plunge pool, showcasing those panoramic views to perfection (best accompanied by a glass of bubbles).

The décor and facilities inside your tent-suite are more than worthy of a five-star hotel, and you’ll soon find that when it comes to service, nothing is too much trouble – with complimentary touches including a pillow menu, a pre-stocked wine fridge, and a choice of room scents.

The Royal Suite offers a generous 500m2 of space inside, while outside you can feast your eyes upon scenes that take in Gibraltar, the White Town of Casares and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. Furnished with marble floors, gleaming chandeliers, a downy super-sized bed – and even its own home cinema screen – this is a tent like none you’ve ever experienced before.

Maharaja, meanwhile, boasts outstanding views over the mountains and Sierra Crestellina. Relax in a candle-lit bath under the stars by evening, take advantage of the outdoor shower to freshen up by day, and relax amongst fascinating, eclectic furnishings privately sourced from Asia and Africa. Later on, why not fire up the barbecue and indulge in a sizzling supper by blazing sunset?

Finally, Casa Pino is a serene, secluded cabin with an outdoor lounge area, a  plunge pool, and views that stretch out to the African coast.
