This beautiful former railway carriage has been lovingly restored to offer utterly charming accommodation for two, as well as magnificent views across the sea. Classic and peaceful, careful thought has gone into every detail of this cosy haven, making it perfect for a romantic and restful getaway.
The Clifftop Railway Carriage still exudes much of its original charm, while modern luxuries blend seamlessly to ensure the highest levels of comfort during your stay. Its ingenious design incorporates everything two people need in this one carriage, while still maintaining a spacious, airy feel. And with 180° views over Cardigan Bay to soak up all day long, it really couldn’t be more perfect.
As you enter the Clifftop Railway Carriage, you’ll find yourself in the lobby-utility area, with space for muddy boots after a day’s exploration, as well as a useful washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, and microwave. Leading through, you come to the main living area, where a well-equipped kitchen, delightful dining area, and cosy sitting area await. The powder blue and white décor creates an airy, seaside feel, while classic light fittings bring a suggestion of elegance from the carriage’s past.
The kitchen is fully fitted with an electric hob and oven, while the handy dishwasher makes light work of cleaning up – you are on holiday, after all! Enjoy meals at the dining table, bathed in sunlight from the windows on each side. And when it’s time to snuggle up in the evening, the comfy sofa, log burner and flat screen television are waiting for you.
From the living area, head out to the sun deck for private views of the cliffs and sea. Breathe in the fresh air, listen out for gulls, and if you’re lucky, spot bottlenose dolphins playing in the surf. The deck also comes complete with outside dining furniture, perfect for summer evenings spent waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon.
Come night time, your beautiful bedroom awaits at the end of the carriage. This tranquil space offers a sumptuous king size bed, topped with plump pillows and a soft duvet for a peaceful night’s sleep. And if you were wondering how it could get any more special, your bedroom also features a gorgeous freestanding, roll-top bath for ultimate indulgence.
In addition, the adjacent bathroom provides a large walk-in shower, as well as a basin and WC. And whether you’re visiting in the height of summer or depths of winter, you’ll always be beautifully warm thanks to wonderful underfloor heating – so there’ll be no cold feet in the morning!
