Casa Acantilado
- Sleeps: 6
- Bedrooms: 3
- Bathroom: 1
- Minimum stay: 1 night
Designed to resemble the face of a dragon, Casa Acantilado (or “house on a cliff” in Spanish) features scale-like zinc cladding that make for an arresting vision on the cliffs of Salobreña, a historic town on the Costa Granadina.
Partially set within the cliffs themselves, the architect-designed house features two creatively-styled storeys, with a multi-tiered lower level that opens out onto a gorgeous terrace…perfect for watching the sun sink over the sea, evening tipple in hand.
You’ll also discover a shimmering al fresco swimming pool for lazy afternoon laps, before firing up the barbecue for a sizzling supper.
Sleeping up to six lucky guests, there are three upper-storey bedrooms: a kingsize, a double, and a twin, to choose from. Each boasts a sea-view balcony for morning coffee, and one even features a moveable wall that allows two rooms – the bedroom and its elegant en-suite – to become one!
If you can tear yourselves away, Salobreña boasts an intriguing history that dates back over 6,000 years. Wander through the scenic Old Town, passing whitewashed houses on your way, to visit the 10th-century castle, the grand Castillo de Salobreña.
And with no less than five beaches to choose from, you can stretch out your towel on a new idyllic location every day, making this a truly unforgettable coastal getaway in just about every respect.
